Oregon School Public Relations Association

OSPRA

Learn. Connect. Inspire.

Oregon School Public Relations Association is a network of dozens of school communications professionals in Oregon and southwest Washington. The goal of our nonprofit organization is to serve as a connection for our members.

Professional Development — We offer two conferences each year; one in the fall and one in the spring. We bring in top notch speakers who help attendees gain relevant skills they can use at home in their schools and communities. The conferences are places where our members learn, connect with one another and gain inspiration to do their best work.

Connection — Our network can become your network. Our members connect with one another thorugh our private members-only Facebook page.

Recognition — Each year we recognize a School Communicator of the Year for Oregon, who represents the best of school communication. The 2018 Communicator of the Year is Maureen Wheeler, APR from Beaverton School District. OSPRA is also proud to offer an annual scholarship for one member to attend the National Seminar from National Public Relations Association, dedicated in memory of outstanding school communicator Joe Krumm. The 2018 recipient is Maggie Kelly of Estacada School District.

The OSPRA group is a priceless network of colleagues and friends that support one another and are excited to welcome and support you in your efforts to bring schools and communities together through outstanding school public relations and communications.
